Manali está rodeada de castanheiras indianas e conta com uma colônia de hippies; é para ter cuidado com o consumo de maconha, já que as blites policiais são frequentes. Como monumento destaca o Templo de Hadimba construido em 1553.

Rohtang

Rohtang é a passagem entre o Vale de Kulu e os vales de Lahaul e Spiti, e permanece aberto só de maio à outubro quando pode-se ultrapassar o Kunzam, 4.500 metros. de altitude e que permite o acesso ao Vale de Spiti. No meio de paisagens muito formosas levantam-se fortalezas e mosteiros acrescentando um encanto especial.

Vale de Chamba

O Vale de Chamba, entre 600 e 6.300 m. de altura, oferece um panorama natural único. Em Chamba merece uma visita ao Museu Buri Singh com uma excelente mostra de pintura das escolas de Kangra e Basholi e desfrutar em agosto com a feira de Minjar.

Vale de Kangra

O Vale de Kangra tem como máximos atrativos Dharamsala cuja cidade alta existe uma cidade baixa, onde habita atualmente o Dalai Lama com seus seguidores. Pode-se combinar uma audiência com ele, solicitando-a um mês de antecipação, contatando com seu escritório privado; as sagradas Cascatas de Bhagsunath, o Lago Dal e o Kaleri, a cidade de Kangra com o templo Bajreshwari Devi e uma fortaleza, Palampur rodeada de plantações de chá, Bajinath com um santuário de 804 dedicado Shiva, Jawalamukhi com um templo, que mantém uma chama incandescente e Masrur com ruinas de um forte e um templo com relevos belamente esculpidos.
